Main Menu WIP, reworked Flepa enemy, and new logo + Why I've been stalling on the game's development (Possible hold?)


So, hey. Here’s another devlog update I wanted to post while I’m stuck in goddamn Winterpeg with an extreme cold warning (yeesh…).

First off, I’ll show off two new videos since the last devlog:

I've showed off progress for how I wanted the new main menu to look like. Currently, I still haven't managed to figure out how to make button menus work with keyboard controls, so please hmu with that. I have also changed the Flepa enemy's AI so that not only can its hurt and defeat states finally match other enemies, but they can also now fly in a wavy manner (though currently the way their hurt state is animated bugged the wave animation, so yeah.)

Lastly, I am excited to announce that I have updated the game’s logo! It comes in two variants:

I had the urge to update the logo again because I felt like the previous one was really bland, but I never got around to doing so until recently…


Also, if you haven’t known already, I’ve been stalling really badly when it comes to working on the game, and the reason is due to various irl stuff, constant procrastination, concern for my health, lack of planning ahead on my part, wanting to prioritize on job searching, and just too worried about being annoying when it comes to seeking help. I am considering to put the game’s development on hold again and just focus on something else for now before I could continue working on it. That said, I should start working more on concept art stuff and do some personal game design studies while development is on hiatus, but I’m too worried about procrastinating again and do neither of these, so who knows.

Anyways, that’s all for devlog updates, at least for now.
