Finally another devlog
Anyways, I have implemented two mechanics to the game, but I’ll tweak them if I have time to. Let’s go over what I’ve added so far.
Surprisingly, this is, to date, my most viewed and most liked video on my YouTube channel. Tysm for that. Anyways, to describe this mechanic, Timelock's main purpose is to slow down the movement to most enemies and freeze the others. It can only be activated by entering through a door of time, but how long the effect lasts for depends on the area. It can only last for up to 30 seconds, so use it wisely, but you can deactivate it at anytime. Another mechanic I just added is Mimo's juvenile form. This form grants him the ability to multijump up to 10 times, which makes it easier to reach places he normally couldn't reach (There's supposed to be a x2 damage multiplier that this form grants, but I added too many popples in this footage so it's hard to know), but it also adds the consequence of having a bigger hitbox (considering that he is much bigger than he normally is as a baby). There are multiple ways to access this form, but for this video, I used a bubble-like power up item that Mimo can get. This form is not meant to last long, and while it's not shown, he cannot leave areas or use doors of time as a Juvenile.As a side note, I have updated Mimogame’s layout with a new background and the old logo replaced by the Startree background.
